This is a remote position. The person filling this role can be based in the following metro areas: Houston, Texas and other surrounding metro areas in Southeast. Time allocation approximately: local site visits 30% - 40%, on-the-road site visits 30% - 40%, office time 10% - 20% covering Southern Texas and states east. We are looking for a highly dedicated and initiative-taking individual with a mechanical aptitude who is willing to take on the responsibility of seeing commercial refrigeration projects to completion. Candidates with parts, HVAC, refrigeration, construction, industrial, electrical, and mechanical backgrounds may have particular interest.
As a member of the National Accounts group, you will be joining an organization that is customer-focused and solution- driven. You will work with the sales organization involved with some of the largest supermarket chains in our industry.
You will get direct training with an experienced field equipment representative (FER) to include instruction on critical processes and procedures. There will also be technical training related to supermarket refrigeration equipment. Training will be both in the office and on jobsites. You will help our team resolve quality-related issues and drive customer satisfaction. There will be opportunity for advancement and an evaluation period based on prior experience, technical aptitude, and ability to develop into the role.
This position is responsible for equipment organization and management for assigned customers. With some guidance, you will utilize internal and external processes to verify equipment quality in the field and take necessary actions to remedy deficiencies to obtain high customer satisfaction. With some guidance, this individual will be responsible for concurrent projects and work with various departments as well as external organizations to meet project objectives and deadlines.
Investigate fit, finish, and field quality issues for Hussmann products and submit field reports through a customer relationship management online-based program.
Order parts to resolve equipment warranty and quality issues.
With some guidance, manage all technical issues for delivered equipment to gain a positive resolution for the customer. This includes leveraging subject matter experts from other parts of the organization.
Partner with the National Account Field Equipment Leads to assess situations and prioritize jobs.
Communicate with customer representatives, contractors, and the National Accounts sales organization on the status of all equipment issues, both positive and negative.
Communicate issues and provide feedback to sales and engineering departments as required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
4 years of customer focus experience.
Possess aptitude to comprehend mechanical systems; experience with electrical or refrigeration background preferred.
Ability to work independently.
Capacity to develop positive relationships with contractors and customers.
Excellent interpersonal and persuasion skills, both verbal and written.
Solution-driven
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at the same time.
