Family Office for Asset Management Firm in CT looking to hire Director of Finance!
The role will report to the CFO of the Fund as well as the firm's founder, and will be responsible for a mix of accounting, finance, and administrative tasks supporting the fund's family office.
This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role with direct access to the Founder. The nature of the work will shift based on investment activity, personal transactions, and family needs.
Candidates who tend to fit come from one of these backgrounds:
- Chief of staff to a founder, principal, or senior executive
- Personal CFO for a UHNW family or family office generalist
- Private banker, relationship manager, or wealth advisor on the client-service side, looking to go in-house to one family
- Ex-consulting or ex-banking professional looking to step off the corporate track and into a high-variety, high-trust role

Responsibilities:
• Maintain a consolidated, real-time view of all assets (public, private, real estate, and cash) and support overall capital allocation decisions
• Coordinate capital calls, distributions, and liquidity planning across investments and entities
• Oversee banking relationships, account structures, cash movements, and bill pay infrastructure
• Optimize treasury management, including deploying excess cash into appropriate short-term instruments
• Build and enhance financial systems, reporting, and documentation to improve transparency and organization
• Manage insurance coverage and broader financial risk across entities and assets
• Serve as the central point of contact for tax, legal, and financial advisors, ensuring alignment and execution
• Provide ongoing financial visibility through net worth tracking, reporting, and ad hoc analysis
• Oversee financial operations for real estate holdings, including transactions, expenses, and vendor management
• Manage household financial operations, including payroll, budgeting, vendor oversight, and integration with overall cash management
