As aFacilities Maintenance Worker I you have a unique opportunity to change lives through exceptional service. The Department of Public Works is looking for a new team member to perform manual work in the maintenance of town parks, athletic fields, street right-of-ways, public green ways, and other Town maintained facilities and landscapes. While the work of an employee in this class is principally in the area of landscaping, an employee may assist with facility maintenance projects or be assigned to special teams as needed.

Work is performed under direct supervision of a higher-level lead worker or Facilities Work Expeditor.Facilities Maintenance positions are 'critical positions', meaning you are required to report to work during adverse weather or other emergency situations, assisting in any capacity necessary to continue Town operations.
Works as a member of a maintenance team to accomplish routine maintenance and cleaning work;Any combination of experience and education equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience in performing landscape maintenance tasks.
A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two or more years of paid landscaping experience.
The ability to work an occasional flexible schedule to include weekend work and/or overtime
