Position OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on, reliable, and proactive General Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing facility in Carson, CA. This role works directly with the Facilities Manager and plays a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and fully operational production floor.This is an excellent opportunity for a go-getter who takes ownership, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair of facility equipment, machinery, and infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues (including wiring, amps, conduit)
- Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment (wrenches, drills, etc.) safely and effectively
- Support preventative maintenance programs across the manufacturing floor
- Assist with installation, modification, and repair of facility systems
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Accurately document work performed, repairs, and maintenance logs using Microsoft tools
- Communicate effectively with the Facilities Manager and internal teams
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and production needs
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments required
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of basic electrical systems (amps, wiring, conduit)
- Ability to use a wide range of hand tools and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Organized with strong documentation and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Positive attitude with a teachable mindset and willingness to learn
