CES/AWS is looking for an Engineering Facilities Manager for our Automotive Manufacturer Client.

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Engineering & Facilities Manager to lead all engineering, maintenance, and facilities operations within our manufacturing site. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, optimizing processes, and maintaining infrastructure to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and is a key member of the Plant Operations leadership team.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide direction for Engineering, Maintenance, and Facilities teams
  • Oversee all manufacturing equipment, tooling, and plant infrastructure
  • Lead facilities operations including utilities, building systems, and grounds

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote a strong safety-first culture across all operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal safety standards
  • Drive continuous improvement in workplace safety and incident reduction

Team & Department Management

  • Manage staffing, budgets, performance metrics, and resource planning
  • Conduct performance evaluations and develop team capabilities
  • Foster collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement

Maintenance & Operations

  • Ensure execution of preventive maintenance and equipment readiness
  • Maintain technical expertise across equipment and facility systems
  • Oversee CMMS performance and maintenance planning

Program Launch & Execution

  • Lead cross-functional teams through launch readiness processes
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Program teams
  • Ensure successful implementation of new programs and equipment

Engineering Change & Development

  • Oversee Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes
  • Support product and process development for manufacturability and efficiency
  • Drive improvements in cost, quality, and production performance

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, throughput, and reliability
  • Implement best practices, new technologies, and process enhancements

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
  • 5+ years of management experience in automotive manufacturing
  • Experience in Just-In-Time (JIT) assembly and sequencing operations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
  • Experience managing CMMS systems and maintenance operations
  • Hands-on experience with automation (robotics, conveyors, fastening systems)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and MS Office
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
