The Court is conducting an internal-only recruitment for the classification of Facilities Assistant.Under general supervision from the Facilities Manager or designee, the Facilities Assistant performs a variety of operational, logistical, and administrative support duties related to court facilities including inventory and asset management, vendor coordination, building access administration, facilities support services and related duties as assigned. The Facilities Assistant supports the day-to-day functionality of court facilities including coordinating vendors, managing facility assets and inventory, administering access control systems, and assisting with workspace logistics.
- Orders, receives, and maintains inventory of court supplies, furniture, and equipment.
- Tracks and maintains records of court furniture, equipment, and assets.
- Serves as liaison with vendors for facilities services and repairs.
- Coordinates vendor access and service requests.
- Administers building access systems and security credentials.
- Manages employee and partner agency badge access.
- Assists with office moves and workspace setup.
- Supports facilities staff with operational needs.
- Conducts routine facility inspections.
- Maintains facilities documentation and records.
- Responds to facilities requests.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
TheIDEAL CANDIDATEshould have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:- Facilities operations and maintenance coordination. Inventory and asset tracking.
- Badge administration, and facility security protocols, including ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Vendor coordination processes, services requests, and work order tracking.
- Standard office software applications and systems used for facilities, inventory, and asset management.
- Workplaces safety practices and procedures applicable to a public sector environment.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, priorities, and services requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain accurate, organized records and documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with court staff, vendors, and partner agencies.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to interpret and follow policies, procedures, and instructions and to identify and address operational issues.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:Three (3) years of experience as a Clerk II/II or IV in an operational unit within the Conta Costa Superior Court OR Two (2) years of experience in facilities support, inventory, or related fieldAny Combination of experience and education that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.Physical Requirements:- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Use of office and maintenance equipment.
- Occasional outdoor work and ladder use.
Special Requirements:Ability to travel between court locations independently.
