MIG Welder / Fabricator

We’re looking for a skilled MIG Welder / Fabricator who enjoys building, problem‑solving, and working with a variety of metals and equipment. If you take pride in quality workmanship and want steady work with project variety, this is a great opportunity.

Multiple openings on both shifts!

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm (OT until 6pm)

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 6pm - 2am (OT until 4am)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Fabricate custom products including gates, posts, brackets, and structural components
• Perform MIG welding daily (with exposure to Stick & TIG)
• Work frequently with plasma cutting equipment
• Install fencing and gates at job sites when needed
• Read blueprints and layouts and execute to spec
• Operate a wide range of equipment, including:
  • Press brake
  • Plasma table
  • Lathe & mill
  • Drill press
  • Band saw
  • MIG, Stick, and TIG welders
  • Various hand and power tools
• Perform general structural and mechanical maintenance
• Primarily shop‑based work with occasional travel to job sites (up to 2 weeks for remedial work)

• 2+ years experience as a Fabricator / Boilermaker
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Skilled in MIG welding (Stick & TIG experience a plus)
• Experience working with plasma cutting machines
• Ability to read blueprints and follow layouts
• Comfortable fabricating from drawings or development plans
• Experience with carbon steel and aluminum preferred (not required)
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office
• Self‑starter mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
• Reliable, trustworthy, and safety‑focused

• Robotics exposure (nice to have)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fredericksburg, VA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Fredericksburg,VA.
