Fabrication Support Technician

Griffon Aerospace, a leader in the exciting Unmanned Aerial System industry, is seeking multiple Fabrication Support Technicians to assist our welding and fabrication team in the production of custom metal products. The growing Madison, AL based small business is seeking hardworking, motivated individuals who want to join an up tempo, maker culture that proudly provides products and services to support the American Warfighter!

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal shop environment
• Familiarity with basic blueprint or drawing interpretation
• Previous material handling or stockroom experience

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Experience operating band saws, chop saws, or cold saws to cut metal stock to length
• Experience with angle grinders and bench grinders for deburring, grinding, and surface prep
• Ability to prepare weld joints through grinding, cleaning, and fitup in support of welders
• Previous experience with hand and power tools
• Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions
• High School graduate or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs often and work standing up for a full 8-hour shift
