VCA Parkway Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

About Us
We are a 2-doctor canine and feline practice in Cary, NC. Our caring and supportive team offers Primary Care, Dentistry, Surgery, Boarding, Grooming, and more.

Our hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm, Saturday 8am - 1pm, closed on Sundays.

About the Role

As Veterinary Assistant, you will support our veterinarians with a variety of duties including surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring, and in- and out-patient care. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with great client service skills. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Patient care for hospitalized and boarding patients
• Exam room patient check-in
• Client care and education
• Venipuncture and lab sample collection
• Surgical prep and recovery
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Record management

Qualifications

• One or more years of Veterinary Assistant experience
• Able to proficiently perform veterinary technical skills including duties listed above
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule: Full time, must include rotating weekends.

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 / hr based on skill set, and experience.
