To support the current new data center projects in Indonesia, we are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team and oversee the construction.

Main responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

  • Review plans and specifications according to the plan.
  • Prepare plans of plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and general piping system.
  • Provide technical advice to main contractor service provider regarding installation and maintenance of MEP System.
  • Analyse mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineering problems and formulate solution.
  • Identify problems in design and delivering multiple work.
  • Plan, organize the review and evaluate the work of consultants.
  • Advise the Project Manager of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress.
  • Continually review the main contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of the site works regarding MEP services and report to the Project Manager.
  • Manage the day-to-day work of the MEP team.
  • Take part in risk workshops and report any risks associated with MEP installations.
  • Review the main contractor installation method statements.
  • Review the main contractor mechanical. Electrical, plumbing shop drawing with the structural engineer to ensure engineering coordination and advise the Project Manager accordingly.
  • Monitor and promote health and safety on the site related MEP works.
  • Be available to undertake off site inspections of proposed equipment and materials as may be deemed necessary by the Project Manager.
  • Undertake a prior review of the main contractor proposed MEP system testing and commissioning methods and schedule.
  • Witness on site pipe system pressure test, air conditioning duct leakage testing, and other testing that may be required during the first fix works and advise the Project Manager.
  • Review on the main contractor testing and commissioning results and advise the Project Manager.
  • Prepare draft site instruction relating to the MEP building services, as required, and issue to the Project Manager.
  • Provide advice to the Project Manager regarding any MEP services related to variable costs that the main contractor may claim during the works.
  • Review and comment on the main contractor operation and Maintenance manuals.
