Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Executive Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in leading the culinary program at a prestigious private golf club. This role is ideal for a chef with experience in upscale clubs, resorts, or high-end restaurants who thrives in a member-focused environment and understands the balance between elevated cuisine and consistent execution.

The Executive Sous Chef will play a key leadership role across a la carte dining, member events, and high-volume banquets, ensuring exceptional quality and service at all times.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Executive Chef to oversee all kitchen operations across clubhouse dining, banquets, and special events
  • Supervise and develop a culinary team of line cooks, prep cooks, and junior sous chefs
  • Execute menus with a focus on seasonality, quality, and consistency
  • Lead daily service, ensuring smooth execution in both a la carte and banquet environments
  • Assist in menu development, costing, and inventory management
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation, safety, and organization
  • Step in as acting Executive Chef in their absence


Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years in a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef role in a luxury club, resort, or upscale restaurant
  • Experience with high-volume banquets, weddings, and member events
  • Strong culinary foundation across modern American cuisine and classic club favorites
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and retain staff
  • Solid understanding of food cost control, purchasing, and labor management
  • Culinary degree preferred but not required
