Build What People Actually See

If you’ve ever walked into a grocery store, restaurant, or retail space and noticed the fixtures, cabinetry, displays, or refrigerated environments—this is the type of work you’ll be estimating.

We’re hiring an Estimator with hands-on experience in millwork, woodworking, or metal fabrication to support complex, custom manufacturing projects delivered to national retail, restaurant, grocer, and foodservice brands.

This organization is part of a larger, publicly backed platform with decades of industry leadership, combining the stability and scale of an established manufacturer with the pace and ownership of a hands-on, project-driven business.

Projects are highly customized and require close collaboration across engineering, purchasing, and shop production teams—not just spreadsheet estimating.

What You’ll Own:

Estimate Complex Custom Projects

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for architectural millwork, custom cabinetry, retail fixtures, and fabricated metal components
  • Analyze blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to determine material, labor, and production costs
  • Build accurate bids covering manufacturing, finishing, packaging, delivery, and installation

Partner with Engineering & the Shop Floor

  • Work directly with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to determine optimal materials and manufacturing methods
  • Leverage real-world shop insight to ensure estimates reflect actual production workflows and constraints
  • Conduct time studies and cost analysis to continuously improve estimate accuracy

Drive Smarter Costing & Profitability

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction through materials, sourcing, and process improvements
  • Collaborate with purchasing to evaluate new suppliers and alternative materials
  • Analyze completed project costs vs. estimates to refine future bids

Standardize & Improve the Estimating Process

  • Utilize ERP systems to drive consistency and efficiency in quoting
  • Maintain a structured pipeline of incoming bids and estimate tracking
  • Continuously improve estimating accuracy through data, feedback loops, and production insights

What We’re Looking For:

We’re targeting estimators who understand how products are actually built—not just priced.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of estimating experience in:
  • Architectural millwork
  • Woodworking / cabinetry manufacturing
  • Retail fixtures or store environments
  • Metal fabrication or mixed-material manufacturing
  • Experience estimating projects involving custom-built, engineered products—not standard catalog items
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for wood and/or metal

Highly Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience in a millwork shop, woodworking environment, or metal fabrication facility
  • Exposure to finishing processes (laminates, veneers, paint, powder coat, etc.)
  • Experience estimating multi-component builds (wood + metal + specialty materials)

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems for quoting and cost tracking
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and cost modeling
  • Solid mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Work on highly visible, real-world projects for major retail and restaurant brands
  • Be part of a company backed by a larger industry platform with strong financial stability and growth
  • Collaborate directly with engineering and shop teams—not siloed estimating
  • Opportunity to influence costing strategy, supplier selection, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Projects that combine wood, metal, finishes, and custom fabrication—not repetitive work

If you’re an Estimator with millwork, woodworking, or fabrication experience who wants to work on complex, custom-built products and have a direct impact on how projects are priced and executed—this is a strong opportunity to step into a more dynamic, high-ownership role.
