Equipment Repair Technician

We are seeking a qualified and ambitious Equipment Repair Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet, including vehicles, heavy machinery, and small power tools. You will be responsible for ensuring that all assets at the Level 10 Construction Yard and active jobsites are safe, compliant, and ready for operation.


Job Responsibilities includes (but may not be limited to):

  • Inspection & Maintenance: Inspect, service, and repair a wide range of equipment including trucks, forklifts, scissor lifts, ride-on sweepers, UTVs, light towers, and small gas engine tools.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical (12v/120v), hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on electric and internal combustion power equipment.
  • Safety & Compliance: Determine equipment "ready-to-use" status according to company and OSHA standards. Implement Lockout/Tagout and safely handle hazardous materials.
  • Documentation & Logistics: Maintain detailed repair logs, manage parts inventory, and provide technical updates to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Field Support: Travel to active jobsites for emergency repairs and preventative maintenance, which may include occasional overnight stays.
  • Vendor Coordination: Act as a liaison with outside vendors for specialized repairs on equipment, tools, and vehicles.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience as a mechanic or tool repair technician.
  • Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of diesel/gas engines, electric-driven motors, and electrical wiring (multimeter proficiency required).
  • Operational Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to use digital diagnostic tools and research software.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to take a lead role on tasks and mentor fellow coworkers.


Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform repetitive motions, kneeling, and crouching in construction environments.
  • Visual acuity for close-up inspections and the ability to adjust focus for technical work.
  • Employee may be exposed to various noise levels ranging from low to high; moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and risk of electrical shock.
