Work Zone Management

  • Establish and maintain an exclusion zone around the scissor lift during operation when required.

  • Keep pedestrians and other trades clear of the lift’s travel path and work radius.

  • Assist with barricades, cones, signage, and spotter tape placement as required by site policy.

Support to Operator & Crew

  • Assist the operator with staging material and keeping the lift work area clear.

  • Help confirm load is within rated capacity and materials are secured before movement.

  • Monitor for improper behaviors such as riding rails, leaning out, or relocating while elevated (per site rules).

  • Support safe entry/exit of the lift and maintain awareness of tie-off requirements per site policy.

Compliance & Documentation Support

  • Ensure lift operations follow:

  • Strong situational awareness and ability to recognize hazards in real time.

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work in indoor/outdoor conditions.

  • Willingness to stop work and escalate safety concerns without hesitation.
