About the Role

We’re seeking an Equipment Assembler to join our manufacturing team in an entry‑level, hands‑on role. This position is ideal for individuals interested in building a long‑term career in manufacturing and equipment assembly. You’ll work under direct supervision while learning core assembly, fabrication, and production skills in a safety‑focused environment.

This role offers hands‑on training, skill development, and opportunities for advancement as you gain experience.


What You’ll Do

  • Assemble equipment components and subassemblies by following drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and basic manufacturing equipment safely and effectively
  • Assist with fabrication tasks such as drilling, cutting, fitting, and finishing components
  • Perform visual inspections and basic quality checks to ensure workmanship standards are met
  • Complete production documentation and work orders accurately and on time
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Support material handling, staging, and inventory organization as needed
  • Assist senior assemblers or maintenance staff with more complex tasks
  • Support basic installation and wiring tasks under guidance, when applicable
  • Perform general manual labor related to equipment assembly and fabrication
  • Assist with other duties as needed to support production goals and timelines

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing or equipment assembly
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, drawings, and work instructions
  • Safe and effective use of hand tools and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Dependable attendance and a team‑oriented mindset
  • Willingness to learn new processes, tools, and skills
  • Ability to perform manual labor and stand for extended periods

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior manufacturing or assembly experience preferred, but not required
  • Technical or vocational training is a plus
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, fabrication, or production equipment is beneficial
  • Ability to read basic blueprints or schematics is a plus
  • Exposure to electrical work, wiring, or equipment installation is helpful

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Springfield, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
