EHS Analyst
Job Summary
The EHS Analyst supports environmental compliance, risk reduction, and related initiatives in a manufacturing environment located in the northern suburbs of Chicago. This role is primarily focused on environmental programs including air, water, waste, and chemical management, while also supporting objectives related to worker safety and compliance. The EHS Analyst partners closely with operations, engineering, and leadership to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, state, and local requirements) related to waste and stormwater, air emissions, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and chemical management
• Manage and support environmental permitting, reporting, and recordkeeping
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and assessments
• Support waste minimization, pollution prevention, and sustainability initiatives
• Support site safety programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with OSHA and company standards
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related discipline
• 2+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations (water, air, waste, chemical compliance)
• Experience with environmental permitting and reporting preferred
• Experience with ISO EHS management systems preferred
