The Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for leading and implementing environmental, health, and safety programs within the automotive parts manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement in workplace safety. The EHS Specialist partners with plant leadership, operations, and engineering teams to mitigate risk, improve environmental performance, and support the organization’s goal of maintaining a zero-incident workplace.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
· 2–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
· Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA/TCEQ, and DOT regulatory requirements.
· Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
· Ability to perform floor-based safety activities and wear PPE as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
· OSHA 30, HAZWOPER 24/40, or related certifications.
· Experience with hazardous waste management and injury/incident investigations.
· Experience in automotive manufacturing or new facility launch environments.
Working Conditions:
· Work performed in both office and manufacturing floor environments.
· Exposure to noise, moving equipment, temperature fluctuations, and industrial processes.
· Occasional off-shift work required to support training, investigations, or audits.
