Join Polydeck as an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern and gain meaningful, real-world experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, while being mentored by experienced HR and safety professionals who genuinely care about your growth.
This internship is more than observation! You’ll contribute to real projects, support safety initiatives, and help build a culture where people look out for one another.
🔍 What You’ll Gain

🛠️ What You’ll Do
- Support the development and delivery of employee training, including safety, compliance, and company policies
- Partner with Training & Development to help coordinate onboarding and training sessions
- Participate in safety inspections and audits, supporting OSHA and company compliance efforts
- Attend safety meetings, document action items, and assist with follow-ups
- Maintain accurate safety records, including incident reports, training logs, and certifications
- Assist with incident investigations and corrective action tracking
- Help deliver engaging safety training on PPE, equipment handling, and emergency procedures
- Collaborate with team members to strengthen safety awareness and culture through communication, signage, and training initiatives
✅ What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Occupational Safety, Business Administration, or a related field
- Basic understanding of safety principles preferred (but not required)
Skills That Will Help You Thrive
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Attention to detail and comfort handling confidential information
- Problem solving mindset with a proactive approach
- Ability to analyze and track data related to training or safety metrics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Bonus (Not Required)
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Coursework or certifications in safety, risk management, fire safety, or hazardous materials
🦺 Work Environment & What to Expect
- On site work in a manufacturing facility with exposure to production areas
- Occasional walking, standing, and light physical activity
- Use of required safety gear in designated areas (PPE provided as needed)
- Moderate stress levels typical of a dynamic, real-world environment
- While you won’t be responsible for others’ safety, speaking up for safety is encouraged and valued
