Job Title: Operations Coordinator

Job Description

The role of EH&S Specialist involves a balanced focus on both operational coordination and continuous manufacturing improvement and safety initiatives. The position requires a 50/50 split between these two critical areas.

Responsibilities

  • Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, visual management, and SOP development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, standardization, and efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to execute improvement projects.
  • Provide administrative and project support to the Director of Operations, including reporting, scheduling, meeting coordination, and project tracking.
  • Support tracking of key operational initiatives and follow-up on action items.
  • Handle documentation for audits, training updates, and assist with orders as needed.
  • Perform adhoc tasks for the General Manager and HR.
  • Maintain OSHA recordkeeping, SDS management, injury and illness logs, and required safety postings.
  • Ensure all compliance documentation is accurate, up to date, and audit-ready at all times.
  • Prepare and submit required regulatory filings and reports.
  • Assist with new hire safety orientation and maintain training records.
  • Coordinate internal safety audits and facility walkthroughs.
  • Document findings, assign corrective actions, and track completion.
  • Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day EHS-related questions from the production floor.
  • Escalate safety or compliance concerns as appropriate.

Essential Skills

  • 1-3 years in an operational or administrative role, with compliance experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
  • Exposure to Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially Excel and document management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; candidates with a BA may have less experience.

The role involves regular interaction with cross-functional teams and requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in office software is essential for efficient documentation and reporting. The work environment emphasizes continuous improvement and adherence to safety protocols.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
