An established and rapidly evolving industrial manufacturer of advanced energy storage products is seeking a Senior Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) to lead all Environmental, Health & Safety programs across two onsite production facilities in the Santa Fe Springs area.

What You’ll Lead

You will lead three critical EH&S functions:

• Occupational Health → Registered Occupational Health Nurse
• Safety & Lead Abatement → EH&S Supervisor (janitorial/lead dust control)
• Environmental / Air Quality → Senior Air Quality Engineer

This team spans medical, environmental, and safety domains — giving you broad influence across the operation.

Core Responsibilities

• Walk production areas daily to identify hazards, coach supervisors, and reinforce safe behaviors
• Maintain strong visibility with operators, leads, and plant leadership

• Lead programs for hazardous waste (Title 22), RCRA, stormwater/wastewater, spill response
• Support and oversee air permitting and regulatory reporting
• Prepare for inspections and act as the environmental point of contact for regulators

• Oversee vendor‑managed IH programs (air sampling, exposure monitoring, BLL trends)
• Direct medical surveillance and occupational health programs through the onsite nurse
• Ensure proper respiratory protection and PPE standards

• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Manage JHAs, hazard assessments, PPE program, safety training, and toolbox talks
• Oversee lead‑dust abatement and facility housekeeping standards

• Work directly with the Plant Manager on escalations, risk assessments, and potential stop‑work decisions
• Support audits, leadership reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

Tools & Equipment You’ll Use

• Respiratory protection (required in designated areas)
• IH vendor platforms for exposure/sampling analytics
• Environmental management systems (air, waste, water tracking)
• Safety observation and reporting tools
• Standard PPE: hearing protection, safety glasses, boots

What You Bring

• 8–10+ years of EH&S leadership experience in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, RCRA/Title 22, air permitting, and Cal/OSHA
• Experience in high‑hazard environments (chemical, metals, battery, aerospace plating, heavy industrial)
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams
• Confident communicator with a track record of influencing operations
• Comfortable spending the majority of your time on the production floor

Certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $130,000–$150,000
• Stretch Range: Up to $160,000
• Bonus: 15–20%

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA.

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
