Entry Level Welder

Job Summary

We’re seeking a Production MIG Welder to perform high‑volume welding of steel and aluminum components. This role involves setting up MIG welding equipment, assembling parts from blueprints, and maintaining consistent quality in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate MIG welding equipment for steel and aluminum materials
  • Perform production welding across multiple stations, including tack welding and assembly welding
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper weld placement and assembly
  • Inspect parts visually and with measurements to verify quality standards
  • Grind and finish welds as needed to meet specifications
  • Track daily production output and report material or equipment issues
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet output goals
Required Qualifications
  • Production or manufacturing MIG welding experience
  • Ability to weld steel gauges from 16 to 12
  • Welding certificate or formal MIG welding training
  • Blueprint and weld symbol reading skills
  • Experience using grinders and basic fabrication tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks
Preferred Experience
  • High‑volume production welding environments
  • Multi‑station welding lines
  • Flux core welding experience
  • Steel and aluminum welding
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift, overtime, and some Saturdays

Work Schedule & Environment
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (plus overtime)
  • Clean, well‑organized production welding facility
  • Multiple production lines with team‑based workflow
  • Shift differential and consistent overtime available

This is a Permanent position based out of Crystal Lake, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $49920.00/yr.
