Job Title: Entry Level Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair or maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues to determine the necessary repairs.
  • Perform general maintenance and repair work on production equipment.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills

  • 1–2 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar mechanical role.
  • Mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools for maintenance and repair.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with injection molding machines.
  • Experience with plastic injection molding processes is a plus.
  • Basic electrical knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience working with electrical components related to industrial equipment is beneficial.

Work Environment

The schedule may include overtime, particularly on Fridays, with occasional half-day schedules depending on operational needs, so flexibility is important. Work is hands-on and physically active, involving standing for the full shift, climbing ladders, bending, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds while using hand and power tools around machinery. Safety procedures and appropriate work attire suitable for an industrial setting are expected at all times. Must be comfortable with flexible schedule between 1st and 2nd shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mason City, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $22.00/hr.
