Entry-Level Data Center Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking multiple technicians to support infrastructure build-out inside a large new data center project in Fayetteville, GA. These roles focus on hands-on, construction-based cabling work and are ideal for entry-level technicians who are eager to learn, work with their hands, and grow within the data center and telecommunications field.

Technicians will assist with installing and supporting low-voltage and fiber cabling systems throughout the facility, working alongside experienced leads in an active construction environment. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to large-scale data center builds with consistent work and guaranteed hours.

What You’ll Do:

• Pull, route, and support fiber and low-voltage cabling.
• Install and support cable using J-hooks, ladder racks, trays, and rings.
• Assist with fiber terminations and basic splicing.
• Follow color codes, labeling, and cable management standards.
• Build and support telecom closets (racks, patch panels, backboards).
• Install basic low-voltage devices.
• Perform fire-stopping and sleeve installations as required.
• Complete daily paperwork (timesheets, work orders, material tracking).
• Follow all safety and quality standards.
• Use basic hand tools provided by the technician.

Schedule:

• 40-hour minimum guaranteed.
• Overtime available.

Requirements:

• General knowledge in cabling, telecom, or low-voltage work.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in construction environments.
• Comfortable with ladders, lifts, walking long distances, and hauling materials.
• Willingness to learn and be trained on-site.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience pulling and/or terminating fiber optic cable.
• Cat5 / Cat6 cabling.
• Punch-downs or crimping.
• Rack and stack or rack assembly.
• Cable testing CCTV or security systems.
• Troubleshooting experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fayetteville, GA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Fayetteville,GA.

This position is anticipated to close on Apr 15, 2026.
