Job Title: Construction Materials Technician
Job Description
Perform field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. Communicate effectively with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractors, and others regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing results. Transport material samples with associated documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis. Prepare and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Project Manager. Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas. Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites while adhering to strict safety standards.

Work Environment
The role involves 75% fieldwork and 25% office tasks. Testing is conducted at job sites, with documentation done in the office and some lab testing in Lenexa. The team typically comprises 1-3 people, fostering a collaborative environment. The office culture promotes a 'can-do' attitude, encouraging initiative even during slow periods. The dress code includes boots, jeans, and appropriate attire for fieldwork.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
