This role performs line maintenance on Boeing 747, 767, and 777 passenger and cargo aircraft in an outdoor line station environment. You respond to maintenance calls, troubleshoot issues, repair and replace interior parts, fluids, and components as needed, and sign off on airworthiness. You work as part of a small team of mechanics supporting a high volume of flights for multiple airlines.
Responsibilities
You join a team that offers an excellent opportunity to build and accelerate your aviation maintenance career, especially if you have limited post-school experience. You gain exposure to a high volume of widebody Boeing aircraft and receive hands-on training during peak maintenance periods, helping you quickly develop your technical skills and confidence on the line. The environment supports learning, growth, and progression for motivated technicians who want to deepen their expertise on 747, 767, and 777 aircraft.
Work Environment
This is a line maintenance role performed entirely outside on the ramp, working directly on aircraft in all weather conditions. Maintenance is carried out on Boeing 747, 767, and 777 aircraft, sometimes at significant heights when working on areas such as the tail. The schedule consists of 10-hour shifts on a 4-day workweek, with three primary shift options: 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Most maintenance activity occurs between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., which is reflected in the shift overlap. New hires typically train on the morning or afternoon shift to maximize exposure to active maintenance. You work as part of small teams of 3–4 mechanics per lead, supporting multiple airlines with several flights per day in a busy line station environment.
