Title: Technical ERP Program Manager

Location: Colombus, OH - 3 days onsite per week

Rate: $70-80/hr on W2

Duration: 6 month contract to hire

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly technical ERP Program Manager to lead large‑scale, multi‑year ERP initiatives across enterprise systems, integrations, and business domains. This role owns end‑to‑end program delivery for complex ERP implementations, upgrades, and transformations, serving as the bridge between executive stakeholders, business process owners, and deeply technical delivery teams.

This is not a reporting‑only PM role; the ideal candidate brings hands‑on ERP knowledge, understands system architecture and data flows, and can confidently challenge system integrators, architects, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Program Leadership

  • Own delivery of one or more enterprise ERP programs (e.g., SAP, Oracle ERP Cloud, NetSuite, Workday, Dynamics 365) across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, HR, or order‑to‑cash domains
  • Lead full ERP lifecycle efforts: strategy, blueprinting, design, build, integrations, data migration, testing, cutover, go‑live, and hypercare
  • Manage interdependencies across ERP modules, satellite systems, and third‑party platforms (CRM, WMS, PLM, payroll, BI, middleware)

Technical & Systems Oversight

  • Partner closely with solution architects, integration leads, data architects, and infrastructure teams to ensure technical feasibility and scalability
  • Understand and oversee:
  • ERP configuration vs. customization decisions
  • Integration patterns (APIs, middleware, batch, event‑driven)
  • Data migration strategy, mapping, cleansing, and reconciliation
  • Environment strategy (Dev / Test / UAT / Prod)
  • Identify and mitigate technical debt, architectural risks, and performance issues early

Program Governance & Delivery

  • Establish and enforce program governance, delivery standards, and stage‑gate controls
  • Manage program‑level budget, schedule, scope, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams
  • Drive executive‑level reporting with clear articulation of delivery health, trade‑offs, and risk exposure
  • Lead vendor and SI partners; hold them accountable for quality, timelines, and outcomes

Business Process & Change Enablement

  • Collaborate with business leaders to align ERP capabilities to future‑state business processes
  • Oversee process design, fit‑gap analysis, and solution validation
  • Coordinate organizational change management, training, and adoption activities in partnership with OCM leads

Required Qualifications (Must‑Haves)

  • 10+ years of program / project management experience with at least 5+ years leading ERP implementations
  • Proven delivery of large, complex ERP programs ($10M+ or multi‑year preferred)
  • Strong hands‑on understanding of:
  • ERP modules and cross‑functional business processes
  • Systems integration and data architecture concepts
  • SDLC, testing strategies, and release management
  • Experience managing systems integrators and offshore delivery teams
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills — able to communicate equally well with CFOs, CIOs, engineers, and functional leads
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field

Preferred / Plus Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud ERP platforms (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle ERP Cloud, NetSuite, Workday, Dynamics 365)
  • Background in finance, supply chain, manufacturing, or HR systems
  • Program or project management certifications (PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or similar)
  • Experience leading ERP transformations, carve‑outs, or multi‑ERP consolidations
  • Familiarity with change management frameworks and enterprise governance models
