Job Summary:
The Engineering Technologist serves as a critical link between Engineering and Operations, supporting the development and validation of Delta power products for AI data center racks. This role partners closely with engineers to build test setups, execute validation plans, and troubleshoot system-level issues, while coordinating technicians and supporting rack assembly and integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform testing on electrical and electromechanical systems
- Execute rework, repair, and modifications per schematics, work orders, and engineering guidance
- Partner with engineers to build test setups and execute power validation tests
- Support rack integration, system bring-up, and hands-on testing for AI data center hardware
- Assist with CAD modeling support to build and maintain test fixtures, harnesses, and lab setups
- Operate and calibrate electrical test equipment
- Document test results, failures, and rework activities with clarity and accuracy
- Coordinate technicians and collaborate cross-functional teams
- Ensure compliance with quality and high-voltage safety standards
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in electrical/mechanical testing, validation, or lab environments.
- Strong experience with electrical assembly, repair, or rework.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with soldering and desoldering techniques.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
- Knowledge of IPC and high-voltage safety standards
- Experience with automated test equipment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for fixture design.
- Experience with Python or similar scripting tools for data analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with high-voltage testing environments and safety standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods in a lab environment
- Manual dexterity to handle small components and tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, as required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally, as needed.
Compensation for this role is depending on experience and Degree, the range for the compensation is from 60,000 - 100,000
