Engineering Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

A client of Insight Global in the Kansas City area is seeking experienced Engineering Technicians or CMT Technicians to add to their growing team. This person will be traveling to job sites across the KC metro testing construction materials. On a day to day, this person will be driving to job sites, reading plans, testing materials, and writing reports for each job site. This role is ideal for a seasoned field technician who is confident working independently on active job sites, performing advanced testing and inspections, and serving as a technical resource for junior staff. The Senior CMT Technician will play a key role in ensuring construction quality, safety, and compliance across a variety of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience with construction materials testing Soils, concrete, rebar, etc.
• Comfortable working full time and potentially 50-55 hours during busy seasons
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Related degree (Engineering Technology, Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science)
• ACI (American Concrete Institution Institute) certification
• ICC / DOT Certifications

Compensation:

$21-30/hour + time and half for overtime.

Pay rate is based on several factors including years of experience and certifications.
