Job Description
The Senior Manager leads a multi‑team organization within the IT Department and is accountable for driving enterprise‑wide change, delivering measurable business outcomes, and developing high‑performing talent. This role blends strategic leadership with deep hands‑on technical expertise to modernize and scale finance platforms across the enterprise, including the responsible and effective adoption of AI‑ and data‑driven capabilities.Architect, design, and deliver enterprise‑scale SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions supporting core insurance financial processes.
Provide hands‑on technical leadership and strategic direction for SAP Finance capabilities including: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets (FA), Allocations, Group Reporting and Consolidation
Lead the design and integration of financial data platforms, reconciliation solutions, and upstream/downstream systems across the enterprise.
Drive solution architecture decisions ensuring scalability, performance, auditability, and regulatory compliance.
Partner with finance and business stakeholders to translate complex functional requirements into robust technical designs.
Actively lead system integration, data migration, and data quality initiatives to ensure accurate, timely, and trusted financial data.
Leverage SAP BTP capabilities to enable extensibility, automation, event‑driven integrations, and analytical innovation.
Enable and implement AI/ML‑enabled finance capabilities to improve efficiency, automation, anomaly detection, and financial accuracy.
Establish and enforce architectural standards, development best practices, and governance across SAP Finance solutions.
Lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
Collaborate closely with security, risk, compliance, and audit teams to ensure solutions meet insurance regulatory and reporting requirements.
Manage complex technology initiatives, balancing scope, risk, timelines, and quality while delivering measurable business value.
• Adapts complex communication approaches for audiences at multiple internal and external levels
• Negotiates solutions for issues that may be complex or controversial across multiple teams/functional groups
• Highly proficient in the business of information technology
• Manages multiple teams with significant, complex assignments; creates structures and processes that provide oversight of budgets and delivery yet allow employees freedom of action
• Serves as a role model for personal development, incorporating 360-degree performance feedback
• Collects multiple levels of staff performance data against desired outcomes and service level agreements
Education• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience15+ years of hands‑on SAP experience (Preferred)
Enterprise SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation experience
Insurance industry experience is a plus
Experience with Agentic AI and AI‑enabled finance automation, including intelligent decision orchestration and autonomous workflows, is a plus
