Engineering Field Technician

As an Engineering Field Technician, you will support project teams by performing on-site technical activities, collecting and validating data, and commissioning and documenting results to help deliver safe, high-quality outcomes for clients. The role blends hands-on fieldwork with clear, professional reporting and collaboration with engineers, project managers, and customer representatives. You will work with the team to determine the feasibility of commercial and design specifications for construction projects. This position involves being onsite on large commercial/industrial projects to perform geotechnical analysis and studies to assess construction site conditions.

• Perform on-site technical activities to support project teams.
• Collect and validate data, and commission and document results.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and customer representatives.
• Determine the feasibility of commercial and design specifications for construction projects.
• Conduct geotechnical analysis and studies to assess construction site conditions.
• Ensure accurate and legible construction documentation.
• Act as a liaison between field crew, project managers, and engineers.

• Minimum of an associate's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• 1-3 years of commercial construction experience.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety and the commercial construction process.
• Proficient in detailed construction documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check.

• Preferred experience as an inspector, observer, surveyor, or in Construction Materials Testing (CMT).
• Demonstrated successful experience interacting with onsite representatives, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Experience in client service management.

This role primarily involves working on-site at Offutt Airforce Base, a loud and busy commercial construction site. Travel to other offices and project sites may be required, though little to no travel is anticipated outside of Omaha or Lincoln. You will report to the Project Manager and the Geotechnical Engineer. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OMAHA, NE.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
