Job Title: Engineer II- Protection and Control

Responsibilities

Develop engineering packages for protective relaying and communications systems, including AC one-line and three-line diagrams, DC schematics, logic and functional diagrams, panel layouts, interconnections diagrams, relaying equipment specifications and bill of materials; Develop SCADA packages, including input/output list, and SCADA setting files; Plan and

implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects; Train project team members including drafters, engineering technicians andjunior engineers; Develop and maintain relationships with senior level engineering, management and clients; Direct and participate in client meetings including job site visits to collect/deliver design and engineering data, and present technical solutions to customers in responding to technical concerns; Perform and ensure company’s Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes are followed on all design packages; Delegates, plan, prioritize and review the work of other engineers. Duties require traveling to unanticipated client's worksites once per month for one weekday morning to the next weekday morning. Telecommuting on non-traveling days is permitted.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field such as electronics, industrial or mechanical engineering; foreign degree equivalency accepted.
  • 24 months experience in protection and control engineering
  • Traveling to unanticipated clients' worksites throughout the continental United States once a month from one weekday morning to next weekday morning. Telecommuting on non-traveling days is permitted.
