MajorDuties

  • As an Energy Management and Marketing Specialist, at the full performance level, some of your duties include but are not limited to: Manage power scheduling, energy accounting, and reporting, ensuring compliance with national and regional market criteria. Analyze resource availability and market conditions to develop and execute plans for optimal resource utilization, including generation schedules and sales/purchases. Monitor load/resource balance and operating reserves, taking action to ensure reliable service and adherence to contractual obligations. Negotiate and manage the sales and purchases of electrical energy, including preparing, submitting, and adjusting energy tag requests. Optimize hydroelectric power plant operations to maximize generation while meeting water release constraints and environmental guidelines. Account for energy transactions, provides accurate data for billing, and recommends improvements to scheduling, billing, and accounting systems and procedures.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. This employer participates in the e-Verify program. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
