Energy Efficiency Specialist : 201092

We are seeking an Energy Efficiency Specialist to perform residential energy assessments, educate customers, and promote energy-saving solutions. This field-based role requires strong technical knowledge, customer interaction, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Candidates should be located within a reasonable commute of Sebring or Lake Wales, FL. Bilingual (Spanish) candidates are preferred.

Pay: $20.00- $30.00 per hour DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-home energy assessments and analyze equipment performance (HVAC, insulation, ductwork, appliances)
• Educate customers on energy usage and recommend efficiency improvements
• Promote energy efficiency programs and achieve participation goals
• Troubleshoot technical issues and inspect energy management systems
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve customer concerns
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and issue resolution
• Represent the company at community events, trade shows, and presentations
• Support training initiatives and cross-functional team knowledge
• Assist with storm restoration efforts and special projects as needed

Minimum Requirements (Must-Have):

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of related experience (energy, HVAC, utilities, or technical customer service)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work in field environments (attics, crawl spaces, outdoor conditions)
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and wear a respirator when required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (Spanish)
• Bachelor’s degree
• Energy Auditor Certification
• Experience in energy efficiency or utility programs
• Strong customer service and consultative sales skills
