About the Role: The Manager of the EMS program administers, manages, and directs the operation of the program, ensuring its development, evaluation, and quality assurance for our locations in Hartford & Waterbury CT.



Responsibilities:



  • Administers, manages and directs the operation of the EMS program.
  • Responsible for program development, evaluation, quality assurance, policies and procedures, and program parameters for the EMS program.
  • Collaborates with Licensed Practitioners, nursing leadership, and administrative personnel to accomplish the objectives of the programs.
  • Plays a significant role in marketing hospital services to the EMS community and attracting them to utilize St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center.
  • Manages departmental EMS activities to foster strong relationships between Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center and providers of pre-hospital care and local, regional, and state governmental agencies, including administrative, quality assurance, clinical assistance, and educational opportunities.



Qualifications:



  • B.S. in Emergency Medical Services or related.
  • Graduate of approved paramedic program.
  • 10 years paramedic level pre-hospital patient care experience.
  • 5 years EMS administration, education, quality assurance, and emergency pre-hospital care.
  • Valid Licensed Connecticut paramedic within six months of employment.
