The Woodbury, Long Island office of Kaufman Dolowich LLP a nationally recognized law firm honored by U.S. News as one of the “Best Companies to Work For – Law Firms,” is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with at least one year of experience in commercial and/or employment litigation to join our expanding practice.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution
  • Communicating directly with clients and providing regular case updates
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Handling mediations
  • Participating in investigations, court appearances, motion practice, and trials


Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in commercial and/or employment litigation
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required
  • Law Review and/or Moot Court experience preferred
  • Admission to practice in New York
  • Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills


Preferred Experience

  • Employment litigation matters, including employment discrimination, workplace harassment, wage and hour disputes, and traditional labor law matters
  • Federal and state wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions
  • Investigations before the U.S. Department of Labor, New York State Department of Labor, EEOC, and other state and local human rights agencies

Base Salary Range: $110,000 – $150,000

Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, and job-related qualifications. Base salary represents just one component of Kaufman Dolowich’s comprehensive Total Rewards package, which also includes a discretionary and billable hours-based bonus program and a robust benefits offering for full-time employees.
