You will play a critical role in managing a wide range of acute and complex cases while working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team.
Emergency Medicine Physician Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions
- Provide timely and effective medical care in a high-acuity emergency setting
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
- Perform procedures as required within the scope of Emergency Medicine
- Collaborate with nurses, advanced practice providers, and specialists to ensure coordinated care
- Document patient encounters accurately within the EMR
- Communicate clearly with patients and families regarding care plans and treatment options
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Emergency Medicine Physician Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Active (or eligible) New York medical license
- Current DEA registration (or eligibility)
- BLS certification required prior to start
