Red Rocks Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Skills Instructor to support student learning in the psychomotor components of EMS courses. Under indirect supervision, the EMS Skills Instructor plays a critical role in reinforcing classroom instruction through hands-on skills labs that reflect current industry standards and practices. This part-time role works closely with course instructors and the EMS Program Director to ensure a high-quality, student-centered educational experience.
The EMS Skills Instructor is responsible for teaching and assessing students in practical lab settings using a variety of instructional techniques. The role includes providing constructive feedback, evaluating student performance, and promoting a respectful, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and professional growth. The instructor will also assist with setting up, maintaining, and breaking down skills stations, and ensuring equipment is used safely and correctly. Any equipment misuse or damage will be reported promptly.
The work schedule for this position varies, based on course availability at the Lakewood campus location. May require hours outside of normal work schedule. Advertised PayThe compensation for this position is $39.26 to $52.35 hourly, commensurate with education and experience. This is a part-time, FLSA exempt position and may work up to 28 hours per week, depending on budget and need.
