Job Summary and Responsibilities

The incumbent is accountable for providing technical and/or supportive services under the direct supervision of an RN or Clinical Coordinator. May have access to or be required to restock needles or syringes from storage locations, (such as large stock supplies, automated dispensing units and other carts) to/within patient care areas or treatment carts as defined by hospital policy/procedure.

As an ED Tech, you will provide crucial support and direct patient care in the fast-paced Emergency Department, ensuring efficient operations and compassionate assistance during critical moments. Every day you will expertly assist with patient admissions and discharges, perform vital signs and basic medical procedures, maintain a clean and organized environment, and meticulously document observations to support the nursing staff and physician team. To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding adaptability, strong communication skills, and a calm, proactive demeanor, contributing significantly to timely patient care and a smooth-running ED.


Job Requirements
  • Successful completion of an Accredited EMT Program in California.
  • Previous experience as an ER Tech or EMT.
  • Emergency Medical Technician: CA.
  • Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.


Preferred

  • Six (6) months ER Tech experience or
  • Six (6) months experience working for a 911 or IFT/CCT Ambulance or Fire Service.
