About the Role

A growing healthcare and wellness organization is seeking a strategic and creative Content and Email Marketing Manager to join its marketing team. In this role, you will lead content and email marketing initiatives designed to drive traffic, generate qualified leads, and strengthen organic SEO performance.

You will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing multi-channel content and email campaigns, partnering closely with writers, designers, and other marketing stakeholders to deliver compelling, high-performing communications. The ideal candidate brings a strong grasp of email service providers, marketing automation, audience segmentation, analytics, and emerging AI tools that support smarter, more effective campaign execution.

Key Responsibilities

Content Marketing

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with company goals and growth objectives.
  • Create, edit, and publish engaging content across digital channels, including blogs, eBooks, listicles, videos, social media, and other marketing assets.
  • Collaborate with writers, designers, and creative partners to produce visually compelling and brand-consistent content.
  • Monitor industry trends and audience interests to ensure content remains timely, relevant, and competitive.
  • Use AI-powered tools to support content ideation, drafting, and optimization while improving efficiency and output quality.

Email Marketing

  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns that promote services, products, and content while driving qualified traffic to the website.
  • Segment audiences using behavioral insights such as engagement history and website activity to deliver more personalized messaging.
  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and related KPIs.
  • Maintain compliance with CAN-SPAM, HIPAA-adjacent communication standards, and applicable privacy regulations such as CCPA.
  • Manage unsubscribe processes, consent records, and data handling practices with accuracy and care.
  • Build and optimize automated workflows to nurture leads, re-engage inactive audiences, and support patient acquisition journeys.
  • Use platforms such as Ortto to deploy and improve automation and lifecycle campaigns; prior Ortto experience is a plus.
  • Ensure all email communications reflect a clear, consistent, and compelling brand voice.

AI & Marketing Technology

  • Apply practical knowledge of AI tools and platforms, including generative AI, AI-powered analytics, and predictive segmentation, to improve campaign performance.
  • Stay current on emerging AI applications in digital marketing and identify opportunities to integrate them into team workflows.
  • Use AI responsibly and in accordance with company standards, ensuring appropriate human oversight, accuracy, and brand alignment.

Collaboration & Team Leadership

  • Build strong working relationships across marketing and cross-functional teams, including operations, clinical leadership, and outreach teams.
  • Lead and support content creators, including writers, designers, and video professionals, by providing clear direction, thoughtful feedback, and ongoing coaching.
  • Use project management tools to keep priorities, timelines, and deliverables organized and visible across the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in content marketing and email marketing.
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms; Klaviyo experience preferred.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms; Ortto experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of email compliance requirements, including CAN-SPAM, HIPAA-adjacent communication standards, and privacy regulations such as CCPA.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools used in modern marketing, including content generation, analytics, and personalization.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret web traffic and email performance metrics and turn insights into action.
  • Solid understanding of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.
  • Innovative, collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
