Our client in Bergen County, NJ is seeking an Electronics Assembly Supervisor to lead their assembly team overseeing SMT, through‑hole, and PCBA assembly. This role is responsible for production planning, quality, team leadership, training, and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily electronics assembly operations to meet production, quality, cost, and delivery targets
- Plan and schedule production to support demand and inventory requirements
- Lead, train, mentor, and evaluate SMT, through‑hole, and assembly personnel
- Ensure products are built to specifications and quality standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Oversee inventory accuracy and coordinate material needs with Purchasing
- Manage preventive and routine maintenance of assembly equipment and tools
- Maintain manufacturing records, documentation, and training records
- Support hiring, onboarding, and workforce development efforts
- Communicate operational, quality, and personnel issues to management
Requirements
- Experience supervising electronics assembly or PCBA manufacturing operations
- Experience working in a GMP‑regulated environment
- Strong understanding of SMT and through‑hole assembly processes
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Hands‑on knowledge of electronic assembly tools, equipment, and safety practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Associate’s degree, or Technical or High school degree with relevant electronics assembly and supervisory experience
