Electronic Assembler - $18-$20/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a Production Assembler to support growing manufacturing operations. In this role, you will assist with the assembly and integration of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components used in industrial equipment and machines. This position is hands-on and ideal for individuals with assembly experience who are comfortable working with tools, following instructions, and contributing to a team-focused production environment.

You will help prepare equipment for testing and deployment by assembling components, routing cables and wiring, and performing basic checks to ensure systems are built to quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install electrical, electronic, and mechanical components following work instructions and drawings.
  • Perform basic wiring, cabling, and connections for equipment and subassemblies.
  • Use assembly tools and basic measuring or test equipment as required.
  • Read and follow assembly drawings, diagrams, or written instructions.
  • Perform basic checks or tests to confirm proper assembly and functionality.
  • Assist with identifying and reporting issues related to parts, wiring, or assemblies.
  • Work with team members in production, testing, or quality to support smooth builds.
  • Accurately document completed work and report any defects or concerns.
  • Follow safety guidelines, quality standards, and established procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Support production schedules and team goals in a fast-growing environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • General assembly or manufacturing experience (electronics, electrical, mechanical, or similar).
  • Comfort using hand tools and basic assembly equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions, drawings, or diagrams.
  • Basic understanding of electrical or electronic components is helpful but not required.
  • Willingness to learn wiring, cabling, and basic testing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented production environment.
Preferred (But Not Required)
  • Education or training in electronics, electrical, or technical fields.
  • Experience with wiring, soldering, or cable assembly.
  • Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings.
  • Experience in equipment assembly, machine building, or manufacturing.
  • Ability to use basic test or measuring equipment.
  • Flexibility to work first or second shift as production expands.

Work Environment

This role is based in a climate-controlled production facility in the Olathe, KS area. The standard shift is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with future plans for two 8-hour shifts (morning and afternoon). Candidates should be open to working either shift as needed. The position involves hands-on assembly work using standard tools in a structured, team-based setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
