The Electro-Mechanic maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on keeping equipment such as 3-phase motors, conveyors, and presses running safely and efficiently, while performing limited PLC troubleshooting and supporting both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities on a 2-2-3 night shift schedule.
Responsibilities
You will join a growing manufacturing facility in a stable, expanding industry, offering meaningful opportunities for long-term career growth. The 2-2-3 schedule provides flexibility, allowing you to attend appointments during the day, enjoy more full days off, and benefit from built-in overtime. Training begins on day shift to help you ramp up successfully before transitioning to nights. Compensation increases are performance-based, with regular evaluations that typically result in measurable pay growth, reflecting your contributions and development over time.
Work Environment
This role is based in a large tile manufacturing facility with approximately 140 people on-site. The environment can be dusty due to tile dust, particularly on the press line, which is more mechanical and dusty than other areas. Some tasks require working in high areas on tall equipment, including the use of scaffolding. Certain areas, especially around kilns and ovens, can become very hot in the summer. The position follows a night shift 2-2-3 schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with training initially conducted on day shift. Steel-toe footwear is required for safety, while shorts and cut-off T-shirts are permitted as part of the casual dress code.
