Electrician

AWS/CES is looking for an Electrician for our automotive manufacturing client in Warren, MI

• Location: Warren, MI
• Schedule/pay: 1st shift 6am-2:30pm @ $32.26/hr
• 3rd shift 9pm-6:30am @ $33.26/hr
• Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to support manufacturing operations through maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of plant equipment and machinery. This role requires a strong technical background, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and electrical systems with minimal supervision
• Perform electrical wiring, installations, and upgrades based on schematics and documentation
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime
• Diagnose issues using electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and diagnostic tools
• Assist with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic system troubleshooting
• Install and run conduit, wire-ways, panels, and power drops
• Build, label, and wire control panels and electrical boxes
• Update drawings/prints and recommend spare parts or system improvements
• Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks to support production needs
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations

Qualifications

• Strong experience with industrial electrical systems and machine troubleshooting
• Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and high-voltage systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder diagrams
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and PLC troubleshooting (preferred)
• Proficient with electrical meters and diagnostic instruments (AC/DC circuits)
• Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education & Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
• Ability to pass an electrician aptitude test
