This field-based role focuses on installing, commissioning, and servicing electrical power systems, including generators, inverters, battery storage systems, and network/communications cabinets. You will execute well-defined installation and commissioning tasks by following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), drawings, and checklists to deliver safe, high-quality work. The position does not involve system design or engineering; instead, it emphasizes hands-on execution, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation in both warehouse and outdoor environments, with periodic travel for project installations and commissioning.
Responsibilities
You will contribute to a mission-driven organization focused on providing instant access to vital medical supplies across the globe, directly supporting life-saving outcomes and more efficient healthcare logistics. The team has already completed thousands of commercial and emergency deliveries, offering the opportunity to see tangible impact from your work. You will join a culture that values safety, precision, and continuous improvement, where clear SOPs and structured processes support your success in the field. While paid time off and holiday pay are not offered to consultants, you will accrue sick pay and gain exposure to innovative technologies and systems in a growing, purpose-driven environment.
Work Environment
You will work primarily in a warehouse indoor space for initial builds, with outdoor work required for repairs and installations once systems are deployed. The role involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, torque tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment, as well as interaction with electrical panels, generators, inverters, battery energy storage systems, and network cabinets. You can expect exposure to electrical hazards, active construction environments, and varying outdoor weather conditions, so adherence to safety protocols is essential. The position may require occasional overtime to meet project timelines, along with travel of approximately 3–4 days every 3–4 weeks for installations and commissioning at customer sites. The physical environment includes working at heights, in confined spaces, and in positions that require standing, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods, with no specific dress code beyond appropriate safety and job-appropriate attire.
