Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to support our plant operations. This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls across high-speed bottling and packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot 480VAC to 24VDC electrical systems and motor control centers.
• Troubleshoot and repair process and packaging equipment including fillers, conveyors, packers, and palletizers.
• Work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo drives to maintain electronic control systems.
• Calibrate, inspect, and troubleshoot flow, pressure, level, and temperature instrumentation.
• Lead and train other E&I technicians as needed.
• Create work orders in our maintenance system.
• Troubleshoot photo eyes and proximity sensors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as an industrial electrician.
• 1–2 years in a high-speed production environment, preferably in food/beverage or bottling.
• Formal E&I training from vocational school, military, or certification program preferred.
• Understanding of 480VAC power distribution systems and NEC code.
• Skilled in using electrical tools such as megger, amp/volt meters, and conduit benders.
• Solid troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems.
• Experience with PLCs and industrial controls, preferably Allen-Bradley, SLC-500, DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP.
• Familiarity with VFDs and servo systems, including PowerFlex, SEW, Pacific Scientific, and Rockwell.

• Knowledge of vision systems and online coding/printing systems is a plus.

Work Environment

The work schedule follows a 2-2-3 shift pattern from 6:30 am to 7 pm. As a GMP food and beverage company, the dress code prohibits jewelry, makeup, or long nails on the floor, but attire is otherwise casual. The role requires standing on hard surfaces for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing and bending to access equipment, working in varying seasonal temperatures, and functioning effectively in high noise areas while using proper PPE.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $36.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Dayton,NJ.
