The Judge Group is seeking a Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Estimator with 5+ years of experience estimating pipeline construction or facility projects within the oil and gas industry for projects from 2 million to 35 million dollars.
COMPENSATION: 130k to 155k plus bonus
LOCATION: Onsite position in The Woodlands, TX
MUST HAVE: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience accepted
MUST HAVE: Experience in I&E estimating in the Oil and Gas industry (Pipelines, Compressor & pump stations, Production and processing facilities, Measurement stations, Electrical and instrumentation system installations)
MUST HAVE: Working knowledge of bid software (Accubid preferred)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports I/E (Instrumentation & Electrical) estimating projects
- Perform cost estimates for capital projects and maintenance teams
- Develop detailed cost estimates
- Read RFQs and project documents
- Review RFQs, diagrams, loop sheets, etc to determine requirements
- Perform Material & Labor Take-Offs. Execute accurate take-offs for conduit, cable, terminations, panels, devices, instrumentation, grounding, controls, and all I/E materials
- Support pre-bid meetings & site walkdowns
- Attend pre-bid walkthroughs and site visits
- Gather information that impacts scope, cost, and constructability
- Obtain, review, and validate vendor quotes, subcontractor pricing, and material proposals in coordination with Supply Chain
- Develop scope notes and basis-of-estimate documents (Labor assumptions, Crew sizes, Productivity factors, etc)
- Maintain a log of wins and losses for future reference
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience accepted
- Experience in I&E estimating in the Oil and Gas industry (Pipelines, Compressor & pump stations, Production and processing facilities, Measurement stations, Electrical and instrumentation system installations)
- Ability to read P&IDs
- Working knowledge of bid software (Accubid preferred)
- Understanding of NEMA, NEC, etc
