Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical estimating, with a proven track record of delivering accurate and timely estimates for a variety of electrical projects. This role is integral to our operations and will involve close collaboration with project managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and supervisors.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope and requirements of electrical projects.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment necessary for electrical projects in a timely manner.
  • Solicit quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing.
  • Stay current with industry trends, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to review bids, discussing labor materials, subcontractors, and final cost sheets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and explore pre-fab solutions, making recommendations where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets.
  • Create labor tracking cost codes and schedule of values for projects awarded.
  • Organize and review the project folder for ease of transition to operations.
  • Review the scope of work, vendor and subcontractor quotes, post-bid RFPs, and RFIs.
  • Price change orders as needed by operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, preferably with 5+ years in the field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations.
  • Experience in organizing and reviewing project folders for ease of transition to operations.
  • Ability to review and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes, post-bid RFPs, and RFIs.
  • Experience in pricing change orders as needed by operations.
