We invite you to apply as a Summer 2026 Intern with DRS Land Electronics in Huntsville, AL. Work at the core of innovation for compute and display systems in military vehicles, contributing to advanced defense technology.

As a Leonardo DRS Electrical Engineering Intern, you will:

• Contribute Meaningfully: Assist in the design, development, analysis, and testing of electronic products and systems. Work with experienced engineers who will support your development.
• Work with Modern Technology: Gain practical experience with industry-leading computer-aided engineering (CAE) software. See your designs come to life.
• Learn About Components: Understand electronic components, subsystems, and services. Learn how to select and evaluate components for critical projects.
• Engage in Circuit Design: Participate in creating schematics, conducting circuit analysis, and engaging in trade studies to expand your circuit design skills.
• Apply Your Knowledge: Integrate academic learning into real-world applications, contributing to our configuration management systems and project execution.
• Collaborate with Experts: Join peers and leaders in design and project reviews, helping develop pioneering technology.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master's program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics (with a focus on electronics).
• At least one year of academic experience with a GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team.
• Strong, pro-active problem-solving skills.
• Ability to support a 20+ hour per week onsite schedule.

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with schematic entry and PCB layout design tools.
• Familiarity with MATLAB or Mathcad.
• Familiarity with LTSpice or other SPICE analysis tools.
• Experience with circuit analysis in digital, analog, and/or power domains.
• Understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365.
