As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will manage and oversee electrical engineering projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and other team members to ensure project success. Your responsibilities will include producing and reviewing drawing sets, stamping others' work, and coordinating with utilities to upgrade services to the site, including switchgears and transformers. Additionally, you will conduct power system modeling using SKM, Easypower, and ETAP, perform flash studies, relay coordination, and prepare detailed reports. You will work with electricians on start-up projects, conduct site visits for load studies and upgrades, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
The company is a consulting engineering firm based in Portland, OR, providing multi-discipline engineering study, design, and construction management services to industrial clients. Projects cover various industries, including petrochemical, primary metals, chemical, and pulp & paper. This is a full-time remote role with 15% travel requirements to job sites and client meetings. The environment is more traditional, with involvement from the founders since the 70s.
