Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and launching innovative mobile equipment used in real-world, demanding environments. You will lead complex engineering projects from concept through production, collaborating across engineering, operations, service, and marketing, and have a direct impact on product performance, quality, and customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving, ownership of designs, and seeing their work move from idea to the field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design and development for new products aligned with the company’s product roadmap.
  • Define product requirements using Voice of Customer (VOC) input, regulatory standards, and technical specifications.
  • Create detailed electrical specifications, schematics, and harness designs.
  • Perform product testing to validate designs and ensure performance meets intent.
  • Partner with operations and suppliers to improve manufacturability, cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Work with service teams to resolve high-priority product issues and support field diagnostics.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to support on-site troubleshooting.
  • Support product launches, tradeshows, training, and customer demonstrations.
  • Champion engineering and ISO processes while continuously improving design methods.
  • Contribute to sustaining engineering efforts to reduce defects, warranty risk, and rework.
  • Design innovative, cost-effective, and manufacturable electrical systems.
  • Travel up to 20%, primarily domestic, during product introduction phases.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with PLC Programming. Experience with CodeSys is preferred, but knowledge of Siemens or similar is acceptable.
  • Experience using CAD software such as Solidworks, Solidworks Electrical, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with ERP and/or MRP system.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field required.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of harness design, electrical schematics design, and DC circuit and troubleshooting.
  • 12 and 24 VDC circuit analysis (low/medium voltage AC system power distribution, circuit, and controls understanding).
  • Experience in engine diagnostics as well as general knowledge in drivetrain, driveline, and diesel engines.
  • Experience working with mobile equipment, specifically in construction or agricultural equipment industries.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fond Du Lac, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
